David is an associate at Corbett & Gwilliam. His practice focuses on Family law, estate planning, probate litigation and personal injury.
David recognizes that it is rarely a good day when you call an attorney. David’s goal is to resolve his client’s current issues and proactively anticipate and prevent future problems. David zealously represents his clients by being an ethical aggressor and pushing the pace of litigation. His clients benefit from his strong work ethic, attention to detail, creative solutions, and bone-dry sense of humor.
While in law school, David participated in moot court competitions and was a semi-finalist in the Fall 2015 Dawson & Sodd Moot Court Competition. David has interned with the U.S. Attorney’s office’s civil litigation section in El Paso.
David firmly believes in Ferris Bueller’s famous declaration: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” When not in Court or at the office, you can find David spending time with his family while fly fishing for trout on a quite stream, snowboarding down a powdery slope, playing trumpet in a local orchestra, or training for his next marathon on a desolate mountain trial.
David earned his Juris Doctor in 2017 from Baylor University and his Bachelor of Music in 2012 from the University of Utah. He is admitted to the bars of Texas and Utah. David is a member of the Utah Bar Association’s Family Law and Estate Planning sections. David is fluent in Norwegian and music.
